Burma Superstar

The first taste of Burma in America.
Every bite is a journey.

Before the tea leaf salad became famous, it was a quiet ritual in a small corner of the Inner Richmond. That was 1992. Three decades later, Burma Superstar has traveled to Alameda and Oakland — but the heart of the journey remains the same: to translate a country's soul, not word by word, but flavor by flavor. Come taste what the road has taught us. Let your curiosity be your guide.

The Menu

This menu reflects the way we cook — layered, balanced, and grounded in flavor. Gathered from tea shops in Yangon and grandmothers who never measured anything but love. Many of these dishes have been part of the restaurant since 1992, alongside a few newer additions developed over time. We changed nothing but the address.

Eat slowly. Thank them silently. And when you leave, take a little bit of Burma with you.
