Burma Food Group

SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective date: September 12, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 12, 2026

These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern the text messaging programs operated by Burma Food Group ("Burma Food Group," "we," "us," or "our") and its family of restaurants. By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages from us, you accept these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The short version: We text you about your waitlist spot, reservation, and orders, and — only if you separately ask for it — about news and offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.

1. Program Description

Burma Food Group operates an SMS program that sends text messages to guests who have given their prior express consent. Depending on which messages you have opted in to, you may receive:

Message type What it includes
Waitlist & reservation alerts Waitlist confirmation, your position in line, table-ready notifications, reservation confirmations, reminders, changes, and cancellations, and special occasion acknowledgements.
Order & catering updates Order confirmations, preparation and pickup or delivery status, catering and private event coordination, quotes, scheduling, and day-of logistics.
Promotional messages News, special events, seasonal menus, gift card and retail offers, and other marketing from Burma Food Group restaurants. These are sent only to guests who have separately opted in to marketing messages.
Two-way conversation You may reply to our messages to confirm or cancel, change your party size, ask a question about your visit or order, or reach the host stand. Our team may reply to assist you.

2. How You Opt In

We send text messages only to guests who have given prior express consent. You may opt in by:

Marketing consent is separate and optional

Consent to receive promotional or marketing text messages is not a condition of joining the waitlist, making a reservation, placing an order, booking an event, or purchasing any good or service. You may decline promotional messages and still receive service-related messages, and you may use our waitlist and reservation services without receiving any text messages at all — you can be notified in person at the host stand instead.

You must be authorized to use the number

By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, that you are the subscriber of the mobile number you provide or are authorized by the subscriber to enroll it, and that the number is not a number you are prohibited from enrolling. If you change or give up your mobile number, please notify us at hello@burmainc.com so we do not text its new owner.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. As a general guide:

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Text messages are sent and received through your mobile carrier, and any charges appear on your mobile bill or are deducted from your prepaid balance. Burma Food Group does not charge for the messages themselves. Check your plan with your carrier for details.

5. How to Opt Out

You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message you receive from us.

You may also text STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. After you send one of these keywords, we will send a single confirmation message and then stop sending text messages to that number.

Replying STOP to a number stops all messages sent from that number, including service messages. If you would like to stop only promotional messages and keep receiving waitlist, reservation, and order updates, email us at hello@burmainc.com or tell any team member and we will adjust your preferences.

Opting out does not affect your place on the waitlist or any reservation or order you have placed. You can be notified in person at the host stand, by phone, or by email instead. To rejoin later, opt in again through any of the methods described in Section 2.

6. How to Get Help

Reply HELP or INFO to any message for assistance and a reminder of how to opt out. You can also reach us:

7. Two-Way Messaging

Some of our numbers accept replies. Replies are monitored during restaurant operating hours and may not receive an immediate response. Automated replies may be sent outside those hours.

Do not use text messaging for emergencies. Our SMS program is not monitored continuously and is not a substitute for emergency services. If you have an emergency, call 911.

Please do not send sensitive information — such as payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or health information — by text message.

8. Carriers and Delivery

Our SMS program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and Burma Food Group cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered without error. Message delivery depends on your carrier, device, and network conditions. Supported carriers may change without notice.

9. Privacy and Your Mobile Information

Our handling of the information you provide is described in our Privacy Policy.

No mobile information, text messaging originator opt-in data, or consent will be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who support our services — such as our SMS delivery provider — is limited to what is needed to deliver the messages you have asked for, and those providers may not use it for their own marketing.

We use Twilio to deliver text messages. Twilio processes your mobile number solely to send the messages you have consented to receive. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.

We retain records of your consent and opt-out requests for as long as required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

10. Participating Restaurants

These SMS Terms apply to text messages sent by Burma Food Group and its restaurants, including Burma Superstar, Burma Love, Burma Bites, Teakwood, and Alisios, and to any Burma Food Group restaurant, location, or brand added in the future. A current list of locations is available at burmafoodgroup.com/restaurants.

11. Changes to These SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the revised version here. Your continued participation in our SMS program after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated SMS Terms. If a change materially expands the types of messages we send, we will obtain your consent before sending them.
